Manage Person

PERSON : Maintaining Student Biographical Info (PDF)
Prerequisite: INTRO
Purpose: To learn how to add a new person in ROSI if none exists and maintain existing student biographical information
Topics Covered: Determine if a student already exists in ROSI (Person search) • Add a new person • Maintain all personal information for a student including name, permanent/mailing address, phone numbers, legal status, next of kin, emergency contacts, PIN, and eligibility for the Web

Manage Admissions

ADM 2 : Admission Cycle & Creating a Candidacy (PDF)
Prerequisite: RESOURCES, PERSON
Purpose: To learn how to create a candidacy record from an admission application, review required documents and maintain academic history in support of the candidacy

ADM 9 : Evaluation of an Applicant’s File (PDF)
Prerequisite: ADM 2
Purpose: To learn how to maintain undergraduate and/or graduate admission information and evaluate a candidate’s application to a particular Program of Study
Topics Covered: Verify candidacies • Manage incomplete files • Manage received documents • Review and maintain test results • Maintain evaluation ratings • Load an average for a completed candidacy

ADM 10 : Admission Decision (PDF)
Prerequisite: ADM 9
Purpose: To learn how to maintain undergraduate and/or graduate admission information and assign an admission decision (admit, reject, defer or other)
Topics Covered: Decide on lists of complete files with/without calculated averages and enter the decisions into ROSI • Move candidate to Registration as part of the decision/response/withdrawal update processes • Update Advanced Standings and basis of admission • Introduction to the concept of processing a letter of appeal regarding a rejected or cancelled candidacy (undergraduate only)

ADM 7 : Managing Applicant’s Responses (PDF)
Prerequisite: ADM 10
Purpose: To learn how to process a response to an offer of admission

ADM 8 : Correspondence (PDF)
Prerequisite: ADM 7
Purpose: To learn how to generate correspondence required during the admissions cycle, i.e. letters of admission, letters of rejection, acknowledgement notices, etc.

REG 3 : Academic Activity Scheduling and Enrollment Controls (PDF)

Purpose: To learn how to schedule academic activity sections and meeting sections in a session once they exist in ROSI’s inventory and to define a population of students who should or should not enrol in an academic activity
